The timeline below illustrates actions taken by SCA Pharma as we navigate the situation. Also included are CDC Guidance alerts (red), government actions (green) and special announcements (yellow).

  • We continue to encourage employees to receive the COVID vaccine as they become eligible.

  • We continue to follow safe practices.
  • For our Little Rock employees, we have selected the winner of our gift card raffle. This was a great opportunity for employees who received their first COVID-19 vaccine to enter for a chance to win.
  • For our Windsor employees, Governor Lamont announced an accelerated schedule to provide COVID-19 vaccines to residents as quickly as possible. Going forward, Connecticut’s rollout of the vaccine will proceed on the following schedule:
    • 01MAR2021: Age group 55 to 64
    • 19MAR2021: Age group 45 to 54
    • 05APR2021 : Age group 16 to 44

SCA Action

  • To encourage employees to receive the vaccine, Human Resources has announced raffles at both sites.  I believe in the vaccines and hope that the raffles will encourage everyone to receive them.
February 22

SCA Action

  • In an effort to encourage our employees to receive the COVID vaccine and stay healthy, we are holding a gift card raffle in Little Rock.  Any LR employee who receives their first COVID vaccine by March 15, 2021 is eligible to participate in a raffle for a gift card.  Leadership positions are excluded from participating so encourage your coworkers to receive the vaccine and a chance to win!
  • Once Windsor employees are eligible to receive the vaccine, we will hold a similar raffle.
February 16

SCA Action

  • We completed our 2nd vaccination offering in Little Rock this past week.  Also, employees who are MA residents have started to receive their first vaccinations.  I’m expecting that CT residents will begin receiving their vaccinations at the end of the month.  I will share more information as we approach March.
  • Continue staying focused on staying healthy through our continued focus on masks, distancing, and hygiene.

  • Facilities department has installed self-cleaning devices on many of our commonly touched door surfaces

  • 4 employees test positive
    • 2 from Windsor and 2 from Little Rock
  • No contract tracing was required as these employees had not been in the facility due to the holidays.
  • Reminder to keep doing what we know works and follow the protocols we have put in place, at work and at home.
  • It is also extremely important that if you have any symptoms, or have been in contact with suspected or confirmed cases, to please stay home.

  • 1 Little Rock employee tested positive.
  • No contract tracing was required as this employee had called out and no one else was exposed.
  • Employee remains quarantined per policy.

    • We treat them as positive until we confirm otherwise.
    • 1 of the 3 employees taken to the hospital with classic COVID symptoms.

  • Reminder and evidence provided to all employees regarding the value of masks, distancing and hygiene as primary protection against COVID-19.
  • AR employee had not worked since 8/25-no contact tracing required.

July 26

SCA Action

  • No new cases of COVID-19 since last update.
  • Infrared walk up temperature scanners are being installed this week.
  • SCA is doubling the amount of PTO that can be carried over to 2021 in response to the pandemic. We are increasing it from 5 days or 40 hours to 10 days or 80 hours.
May 26

CDC Action

  • Workforce needed to quickly scale up COVID-19 case investigation and contact tracing activities, including specific job roles.
  • Provided guidance to jurisdictions on measuring the success of case investigation and contact tracing activities. Suggested process and outcome metrics are provided.
  • Managing investigations during a COVID-19 outbreak in congregate settings, correctional facilities, workplaces, healthcare settings, schools, and homeless shelters.
April 24

SCA Action

  • Leadership thanked the direct labor force for coming to work everyday during a Pandemic. SCA is paying a bonus to employee’s with at least 80 hours of paid time, including PTO.
